IN RESPONSE TO THE YOUTH INITIATIVE REQUEST, THE
PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE PROVIDES ITS BUDGET SPECIFICATION AND
STAFF DETAILS
Pursuant to the Law on Free Access to Information of Public
Interest, The Republic of Serbia's War Crimes Prosecutor's
Office has provided the Human Rights Youth Initiative with
the information on the Office budget, as well as the
statistical overview of its staff profile. In request of the
stated documents, the Youth Initiative addressed the
Prosecutor's Office on 18 October 2006

Serbian and Croatian Prosecutors Enter into Agreement
Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukčević and Croatian
Chief State Prosecutor Mladen Bajić met in Zagreb to sign an
Agreement on cooperation in prosecuting perpetrators of war
crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.

WAR CRIMES PROSECUTOR GAINS ACCESS TO THE HAGUE DATABASES
Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukčević and Hague
Tribunal's Chief Prosecutor Carla Del Ponte met on 19 July
in the Hague to sign a memorandum granting the War Crimes
Prosecutor access to the Tribunal's electronic disclosure
suite.

HUMAN RIGHTS YOUTH INITIATIVE SEEKS INFORMATION ON WAR
CRIMES PROSECUTOR'S WORK
In view of the fact that, pursuant to the Law on
Organization and Competence of State Authorities in
Proceeding War Crimes Perpetrators, the War Crimes Detection
Unit is to act upon the War Crimes Prosecutor's requests,
NGO Human Rights Youth Initiative addressed the War Crimes
Prosecutor's Office on 14 April 2006, seeking information on
the number of the War Crimes Prosecutor's requests made to
the War Crimes Detection Unit.

Along the pathways of war crimes
In cooperation with the War Crimes Chamber of the Belgrade
District Court and the National Council for Cooperation with
the Hague Tribunal, and supported by the Rule of Law
Department of the OSCE Mission to Serbia & Montenegro, the
Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor's Office took a group of media
members for a study tour, lasting from 15 to 18 May, of the
Croatian judicial institutions involved in war crimes
proceedings.
