The indictment alleges that, in the period from May 1992 to March 1993, the defendant, as a prison guard in the District Prison in Doboj (BiH), was engaged on several occasions with other prison guards in campaigns of torture against a large number of persons who had been deprived of liberty and held detained in that prison. The campaigns included bodily injuries, as well as physical and psychological torture that resulted in the victims’ physical and mental suffering, harm to their bodily integrity and death (one person died as a result of severe beatings).

The BH authorities originally initiated criminal proceedings against the defendant, but due to his unavailability subsequently transferred the case to the Serbian OWCP.
Pursuant to the ruling of 15 May 2018, rendered by the Higher Court in Belgrade - War Crimes Department, the criminal case against AA (indictment KTO 2/16) was terminated due to the defendant's death.
